Sending Good Karma B-Rad's Way

Many of you know that I lived with my sister as I transitioned from living with Patrick to moving to Los Angeles. While we may not have liked living together or sharing a room so much when we were in high school, this was an opportunity to reconnect with my sister as an adult. I loved it. During the time that I was there, not only did we rediscover our friendship, we gained two additional roommates, too: Brad, the love of her life, and Cash, the super dog.

Brad, aka B-Rad has a lung disease that hasn't treated him so well in life. For the life of me, I don't know what it's called, but it's serioius enough that he's spending this summer going through a bone marrow transplant. My sister and Brad have found an apartment on Minor and Mercer nearby the medical facility on Lake Union because he's required to live within a 30-minute trip to the hospital, door-to-door.

Urban living is a small compensation for what Brad and Shena are having to go through, but at least it's something. Please, when you can, look at Brad's hospital blog that keeps his progress posted. He could use all the good vibes and well wishes possible. The pictures are pretty neat, too.
