California had a 5.8 earthquake today that lasted around 30-40 seconds. I was on the 18th story of a highrise building about 55 miles away from the epicenter. Seismic activity was felt as faraway as Las Vegas. We rocked, we rolled, we stood in the doorway or hunched under desks. It was somewhat fun and definitely an adrenaline rush.
I consider this my official initiation to California living.
