Many of you may not know this, but much of the western Pacific Northwest is currently being inundated with floods from major rains and excessive snowmelt. It's also causing enormous mudslides around the region. Here is a photo from the Seattle Times of the Puyallup River. This area is home to heavy industrial companies in the Tacoma tideflats. For everyone who has friends and family and even for the people we don't know who are in the area, you're in our thoughts and prayers. We hope that everyone affected by these events are all safe and warm and dry. Let's too hope that the beautiful Puget Sound, which we so adore, is not heavily contaminated as a result.
