Moments When the Gods Must Laugh at Us

There are moments that catch you completely off-guard. Like the moments at the end of the day when you just want to share a funny story, a joke you heard, a horrible experience, or the fact that you're just fine. And the person you want to share it with is so naturally someone you love and have loved, emotionally, spiritually, and sometimes physically. And then you realize that, for whatever reason, that person is no longer "available" and a part of your life. Then you lose your breath and you ache with shock at the reality and the empty space left behind. And the wounds that you thought were healing seem fresh and raw. But the tears don't come like they used to and that steel rod that holds you up lifts you a little higher. Sometimes when you're caught off-guard like this you smile a little at the thought of that other person. Sometimes you remember to breathe. And always you love them and know that somehow you'll be just fine. But the ache is always there, however deep and scarred and healed it may be.

Feelin you...yep I understand that feeling well...how nicely put you shared it...you truly have a gift of writing. It is good to know that in the cup of love a smile still comes. To endure...this is what I struggle with as well. I hope you find solace soon.

Hang in there...love to you...and hope you get a job that you like soon.
